There is no better way to judge a school or it's teachers than to hear from other students.
Although Armbrust & Associates has just recently begun to provide education, Brad Armbrust has been teaching a number of years and has developed quite a following. If you have taken classes from Brad and/or are a member of Brad's "Fan Club," we would love to hear from you so we can share your experience with other appraisers looking for quality continuing education. Student comments regarding Supporting Adjustments

“I really enjoyed the all day class with Brad. He was very informative regarding adjustment techniques, and all the information provided was very helpful. The work book that was provided was great!!.I definitely will be taking more classes from Armbrust & Associates in the future.”

This is one of only a few courses available to appraisers that I believe to be truly worthwhile. It is solid education in a topic that has otherwise all but disappeared from our profession. I took your first offering in August and found it to be an excellent update to the kind of training I got more than 40 years ago. Though I routinely use it my day to day practice found your methods and thoughts very enlightening. I even heartily recommend it become mandatory for licensing. Let me say, I was astounded to see that a good part of the class that took your course was lost in what is supposed to be the most fundamental of requirements for competent appraisal work. That is, competent support for major adjustments.
When I returned home after taking your class I asked my son, a properly trained CR appraiser, to change his schedule to take your class in Medford instead of another class he had already scheduled. He did so, and afterward, called to confirm that your course is one of very few he's taken that he will highly recommend to his associates. He said your presentation was easy for him to follow and the calculations you had the class do were helpful reinforcement for his day to day work. Said his calculations matched your's in most cases. My son has been an appraiser for about 5 years and currently works for the Deschutes County Assessor. He handles numerous tax appeals and said your course will be most useful in his everyday work. He said he has recommended all of Deschutes County's appraisers take your class.
I am in process of taking on another CR licensed appraiser who wants experience in commercial and eminent domain work. She need experience to upgrade to the General license. She seemed surprised, but not disappointed by the two educational courses I require her to take as part of our contract. One is your "Supporting Adjustments" and the other is one I have not yet taken, but will when available. "The Cost Approach".
Both courses are basic appraisal training that in the last 20 years, has simply gone by the wayside. Over the 40+ years I have appraised, I have observed a sharp decline in the general competency of many many appraisers. The two basic skills that a truly professional appraiser must be able to perform are competency in the cost approach and market derived support for adjustments.
I like one of the comments you made several times which is sooooo true.....When the Cost Approach and Market Approach won't correlate it is self- inflicted proof of the appraiser's incompetency. And of course, sometimes becomes the best evidence for ACLB filed complaints.
I truly appreciate what you are doing for our profession.

“Brad Armbrust is one of the best teachers for any appraiser and/or trainee. No matter your education level or experience level all classes are informative, provide useable resources and are easy to apply in the office and out in the field. I constantly find myself utilizing his class information throughout the process of appraising, and have found the guidance invaluable in my becoming a better and well rounded appraiser.”

“This course is the first one I have had on the extraction of information from market data. I enjoyed the course and would take it again down the road. The instructor was humorous as well as a good lecturer.”
Would you recommend this course? “Most definitely, this class was one of the most enjoyable & informative classes I’ve ever taken in 11 years of appraising.”
“This should be a mandatory class for all appraisers, pre-licensing.”
